Large Size Gold Certificates

The Large Size 100 dollars United States Notes was first issued as series of 1863 last as series of 1922. There has been a number of issues but most notes (KL 813-827) is of one design. This design (and also the later notes of previous design, KL 811-812) has a portrait of Thomas H. Benton (1782-1858), serving at different times as a senator and a congressman, in favour of western development and against slavery.
